About Chris

With over 25 years of professional experience, including performing keyboard on King Crimson’s 2017 Fall Tour, Chris has built a career as a performer, composer, and educator. He has worked with groups such as Tuning the Air, The Atomic Chamber Ensemble, The League of Crafty Guitarists, and Lost Pedro.

He studied jazz at Cornish College of the Arts and began his long involvement with Guitar Craft and Seattle Circle in 1997. He later completed the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program in 2013.

Chris teaches guitar, piano, and bass, and offers composition and orchestration coaching, tailored to students of all levels.

Chris Gibson is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, composer, and instructor with deep roots in both jazz and progressive rock traditions. His musical journey has taken him from the stages of Seattle's vibrant music scene to touring internationally with one of rock's most legendary bands.

In 1997, Chris attended Cornish College of the Arts Jazz Program, where he developed his foundational skills in improvisation and composition. During this time, he also began his participation in Guitar Craft courses, a transformative experience that would shape his approach to music for years to come.

As an extension of his involvement in Guitar Craft, Chris has been an integral part of Seattle Circle since 1997, contributing to the Pacific Northwest's vibrant musical community. In 2013, he completed the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program, expanding his compositional palette into the realm of visual media.

Chris is now accepting students for Guitar, Piano, and Bass Guitar. He is also available for Composition and Orchestration coaching, offering personalized instruction that draws from his extensive performance and compositional experience.
